BLUES SHOW REVIEW. The The San Luis Obispo Blues Society welcomes Bay area guitarist Pat Wilder on Saturday, April 25. The Mighty Croon Dogs will be opening the show. The dance concert starts at 8pm at the SLO Vets Hall, 801 Grand. SLO Dance is offering free dance lessons from 7:30 - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $17 for Blues Society members and $20 for the general public. All tickets are sold at the door. 21 and over, please. For more information or to volunteer, call 805/541-7930.

Pat Wilder is simply
the best blues performer in the San Francisco bay area. Her live
show is a magnetic mix of peeling guitar licks, that defy gender classification,
accompanied by an organic vocal style that evokes worldly conviction.
Pat Wilder is an exciting performer to watch! Audiences all over
the world are discovering this emerging talent from the fertile shores
of San Francisco's blues scene.
Ms Wilder has been a guest performer worldwide and continues to tour on a regular basis. Plans are in the works for an upcoming tour of the southern United States. Ms Wilder officially topped the impressive line up for the second annual Redwood City Blues Festival as she was the only female performer on the venue and the kick-off act for the entire event.

CROON DOGS
The
Mighty Croon Dogs are an energetic 4-piece band that loves to play the
blues. Their smooth vocal harmonies and talented musicianship have
made them one of the most popular dance bands on the Central Coast and
a fixture at most of the local wine and food festivals. Whether they're
crooning a tender ballad or working the dancers into a frenzy, the focus
is always on fun. With the Mighty Croon Dogs, no two performances
are ever alike. The band includes Billy Foppiano on lead guitar and
vocals, Jerome Taylor on drums, Frankie Paredes on bass, and Scott Wright
on saxophone.
VOLUNTEER. Your Blues Society is run entirely by volunteers. Besides a sense of accomplishment, volunteers get into the shows for free and receive a couple free drink tickets. We could use your help, so call 541-7930 (our voice mail number) and volunteer to work a shift at the show.

LESSONS.
East Coast Swing Lessons with Linda Drake & SLO Dance. Chris
Harmon and other award-winning instructors from SLO Dance offer beginning
swing dance lessons at 7:30 before each Blues Society show. Lessons
are free with admission to the show and no partner is necessary.
Linda Drake’s staff at SLO Dance includes several nationally recognized
award-winning dancers and instructors in both Ballroom and Swing.
SLO Dance staff consistently earns awards in major dance competitions and
