Where do you find this stuff?

I find this material all over the place. Some jokes are shared by co-workers and I find a lot on the internet. I subscribe to several "humor" email lists and I regularly check the Usenet humor newsgroups. I also visit other humor sites on the web. (I have to wade through a lot of really bad humor to find the few jokes that I post here).

If I "borrow" humor from another site, I will always provide a link to that site on the same page on which the borrowed joke appears. Some of the above items are things that I found long ago and I can't remember where I got them or to whom the credit belongs. If I have borrowed humor from your site and you object to my using it here, please let me know and I will remove your item from my pages. If you are the author of a humor piece posted here and you want credit, please let me know. Just use the email link below.

How do I send you mail?

Comments, suggestions, flames, etc.

How do I get on your mailing list?

If you would like to receive jokes emailed directly to you, just drop me an email or use the automatic method (use one of the "subscribe" links below).

IMPORTANT! The only request I have of you is that you send me the email from the email account to which you want the jokes to be sent. This does two things: 1) saves me work and 2) verifies that the email address is correct. When you ask for an alternate email address to be used or ask to "sign up a friend", this only creates extra work for me because I will send a "verification" email to the alternate address. I will never send email to someone who does not request it. Have pity on me and my ten fingers!

Subscribe here via the Automatic Method (preferred because it saves me work!)
YahooGroups(Good Clean Fun).
When you use this method, you will receive a confirming email from YahooGroups. You should reply to that email to confirm that the address you are using is correct.

Subscribe here via the Manual Method
tellswor@slonet.org
This method will take longer because you will be waiting for a human (me!) to read the email.

AOL customers, if the above link has problems, try this one

How do I get off your mailing list?

No problem. Just use the "unsubscribe" link below. Be sure and send the unsubscribe message from the email address at which you are subscribed. I get the address from the message header. If you can't do this, then I guess you are doomed to be on the list forever! Seriously, just let me know what address you wish to have removed. No list servers here. I'm a human being ... I can figure it out!

I subscribed but never received any jokes. Why?

Well, there are lots of reasons, but the most common is that you had an error in the email address that you provided. Sometimes, I will get my "welcoming" note bounced back to me as "undeliverable - user unknown". When this happens, there is nothing I can do. I don't read minds. All I can do is wait for you to send me another email.

You were sending the jokes and then stopped. Why?

Again, there can be many reasons, but the most common ones are that your mail box is full or that your internet provider has suspended your service or that you have moved to a new email address and haven't told me. When this happens YahooGroups will automatically try again the next day. After several of these attempts without response from your ISP, YahooGroups will automatically suspend email to your address.

OK, what can I do now?

Simple ... just let me know.
